MEET PP STUDIO
PP Studio is the photo preview on our product pages. Choose a print, upload your photo and check the crop and finish before you order.
Use it in your browser, on your phone, tablet or computer.

From a moment you love
to a print you can picture.
A FEW SIMPLE STEPS
This page shows you how. Upload your own photo on the product page after choosing a print. Follow the same beach photo through all four steps below.
Pick your product, then select a size and any available frame colour or canvas edge options.
Find the right print for your photo ↗
The product options sit beside your preview. Not sure which finish to choose? Start with our printing guide.
Work through the numbered sections beneath your preview. Tap Continue to move on, or tap a heading to revisit your selection.
Select Upload your photo, then choose your original image from your device.
Use the full-size original rather than a screenshot or a copy downloaded from social media.
You can drag and drop a file into the upload area, or choose a local file. Cloud sources are also shown in the picker.
Open the Upload your photo section, then choose a photo from your device. The file picker may look different depending on your phone or tablet.
The white outline shows what will be printed. Anything in the shaded area outside it will be left out.
Adjust the crop if needed, keeping faces and important details inside the outline. Use Landscape or Portrait where offered, then select Apply crop and Use this photo when prompted.
Wait for your uploaded photo to appear in the preview. Use View in a room to see another view of your chosen print.
To make an adjustment, choose Change photo or crop. Before selecting Add to cart, check that your own photo is visible and your size, crop and finish are correct.
Preview options depend on the product. Multi-photo products use their own personalisation steps.

Example shown: a panoramic framed mounted print. The available sizes, finishes and controls depend on your chosen product. Multi-photo products have their own personalisation steps. Try this framed print ↗
KEEP WHAT MATTERS
Your photo and your chosen print may have different proportions. Cropping helps them fit together.
Inside the white outline: the part of your photo that will be printed.
Outside the outline: shaded areas that will be left out.
The guide lines: a helping hand only. They won’t appear on the print.
If too much is being cut off, try a different orientation, size or product shape before ordering.

This wide photo suits a panoramic shape. The full scene fits inside the outline, as in the framed example above.
A landscape crop keeps the boat but leaves out more of the cliffs and beach on either side.
A square crop focuses on the boat. Much of the wider scene sits outside the white outline.
A portrait crop makes the boat the main subject, leaving most of this wide beach scene outside the print.
Tap a shape to compare. These are examples; your actual crop follows the selected product and size.
A SHAPE FOR YOUR STORY
Choose the outline closest to your photograph. The preview will help you see how it fits.
For favourite portraits, everyday moments and classic compositions. Square sizes are available on selected products.
For wide landscapes, city skylines and group photographs that need a little more room.
For the longest views and sweeping panoramas. Keep more of the scene you captured.
A mounted frame includes a white border around your photo. Its listed size is the glazing size, including the mount. Check the product’s size table for the actual photo opening.
START WITH YOUR BEST PHOTO
We check your photo for suitability at your chosen print size before printing. If we spot an issue, we’ll get in touch.

A sharp original gives you the best starting point. Heavy cropping leaves fewer pixels for a large print. Our Start Here guide can help you judge a suitable size.

A LITTLE REASSURANCE
Practical answers before you order.
Choose the print you’d like to order and open its product page. Select your size and options, then use Upload your photo. The examples on this guide are here to help you learn the steps.
Yes. Open your chosen product, work through its options and select Upload your photo. Choose your original image from your device. The same guide applies on a tablet or computer, although the file picker can look different.
You need to confirm the area that will be printed, but you only need to adjust it if the initial crop is not right. If your photo and chosen print have different proportions, some of the photo may sit outside the white outline. Choose another size, shape or orientation if that leaves out important details.
If the new size has a different shape, you’ll be asked to confirm a new crop. Review it before adding the print to your cart. If you cancel that crop change, the previous confirmed size and crop are restored.
Yes. Use Change photo or crop on the product page, then review and confirm your selection again. Wait for the updated photo and preview before adding it to your cart.
That depends on the original image, how sharp it is and how much has been cropped. Send us the original photo and the product and size you have in mind for advice before ordering. We also check the photo’s suitability before printing.
Keep the page open while your file is being prepared. If a retry or Reload preview control appears, follow the message shown. Avoid repeatedly starting the same upload.
If it still won’t complete, select We can help beneath the uploader. Tell us your device, the product and size, file type and any help code shown.
Contact us before ordering if your original file won’t upload. We’ll advise on the best way to send it. Keep the original safe rather than reducing its quality just to make the upload work.
For an edited photo, a high-quality sRGB JPEG is a practical starting point. Ask us if you need advice about a different format.
The preview is a visual guide to your photo and chosen finish. Screen colours, displayed textures and proportions may differ from the finished product. Check the selected dimensions and product information for exact specifications.
We use the confirmed print file for production, rather than the smaller image used to display your preview.
The product example shows the type of print you’ve chosen. Your uploaded photo and confirmed crop are separate. Check the uploaded-file link and product options in your cart before checkout.
This guide covers the single-photo products using PP Studio. Gallery frames, collages and other multi-photo products have their own personalisation steps. Follow the instructions on your chosen product, or contact us if you’d like help.
